Louisa's Bike

Louisa bought her bike on eBay, second-hand, but in very good condition. The Hercules frame, originally from the early 2000s, had already been equipped with high-end Shimano Deore XT components.

We upgraded the bike further by replacing the original wheel-dynamo with a high-end SON28 hub-dynamo, and adding many other travel bike parts.

In September 2023, we did some major changes on Louisa's bike, removing the front rack, getting rid of the front panniers and replacing them with two bottle cages.

​

In April 2024, we ended our journey in Japan and donated both our bikes to a local bike shop in Tokyo.
